With a successful season in the KRC British Endurance championship behind them, which saw the QB Carbon Mechanical Velvet MV, take a class win at Pembrey in Wales closely followed by an overall win at the Snetterton round, development began on the bike for the 2003 season.

The Ducati MotoGP styled fairing introduced at the mid point of the 2002 season having proved a great success it was decided to continue the MotoGP theme for 2003 with an underseat exhaust again styled on the Ducati GP machine.

The exhaust required revised mounting points so a new subframe was developed and constructed in carbon fibre with the strength to support both exhaust and seat/rider.
